Statement of Faith

  • We believe, that all the Scriptures, of both the old and new Testament, are the inspired word of God, and the only rule of faith and practice. (2 Tim 3:16,17)
  • We believe according to the scriptures, that there is but one only living and true God; that there are three persons in the Godhead, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, who are equal in nature, power, and glory; These three distinct divine persons, we profess to reverence, serve and worship as the one true God. (Deut 6:4,5; Matt 28:19,20; Acts 17:29; 1 John 5:7)
  • We believe according to the scriptures, that the origin of all things were created by the divine Word of God. (Gen 1 & 2; Psa 33:6; John 1:1-3)
  • We believe according to the scriptures, that God created the first man Adam, after his image, and in his likeness, a holy, and innocent creature, but Adam sinned and all his posterity sinned in him. As a result, a corrupt nature is derived by all his offspring both by ordinary and natural generation, so that they are by their first birth carnal and unclean, averse to all that is spiritually good, and prone to sin. As such all by nature are under a sentence of condemnation, subject not only to the death of the body, but also to an eternal death, all from which there is no deliverance, but by Christ the last Adam. (Gen 1:26,27; Rom 5:12; 1 Cor 15:21,22)
  • We believe according to the scriptures, that the Holy & Loving God in eternity purposed to show mercy to Adam’s sinful race by sending His Son to be the only mediator between God and men. In the fullness of time the Son of God stepped into a virgin womb to take on human nature as the Lord Jesus Christ, in which nature he suffered and died as the perfect and holy substitute of all who will believe on Him. As the Substitute of His people He made satisfaction for all their sins which the law and justice of God required. (John 3:16; 1 Tim 2:5; Gal 4:4,5; Matt 1:23; Heb 13:12; 1 Cor 15:3,4; Gal 3:13; 1 John 4:10)
  • We believe according to the scriptures, that Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day to show forth that His payment for sin was accepted and well pleasing unto God the Father. (Matt 28:5,6; 1 Cor 15:4; 2 Cor 5:21; Eph 1:6; 1 Pet 2:5)
  • We believe, that the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ ought to be preached to every creature, and that it is the means by which God the Holy Spirit convicts, calls, and regenerates lost sinners. (Mark 16:15; 2 Tim 4:2; John 16:7-11,13)
  • We believe according to the scriptures, that salvation is completely by the work and grace of God and not by sincerity or the good works of man. This salvation is the full and free pardon of all sins and transgressions, (past, present and future), and it is only through the blood of Jesus Christ according to the riches of his grace. As a result, any decision of man to come unto Christ to receive this free gift of salvation must involve revering God in repentance and faith, in which God in Jesus Christ alone is given all glory for salvation. (Eph 2:8,9; Psa 25:11; Rom 4:7,8; Eph 1:6,7; Matt 9:27; 15:22; Luke 17:12,13; Heb 8:12; Psa 115:1)
  • We believe according to the scriptures, that Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances of our Lord Jesus Christ, to be continued until his second appearing. (Matt 28:18-20; Matt 26:26-30; 1 Cor 11:23-26)
  • We believe, that there shall be a Resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust; and that Christ will come/appear again to judge both the quick and the dead; when He will gather all nations and deliver His  redeemed brethren unto God the Father as one into His everlasting kingdom, and then take vengeance by punishing all the wicked into everlasting fire. After which fact, the Kingdom of Christ will be consummated/complete and fully experienced by His people in glorification whereby all nations of people will be finally delivered from the curse of sin and introduced as one worshiping  and glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ forever and ever.  (Acts 24:15; 2 Tim 4:1,8; Heb 2:13; Matt 25:31-34,41,46; Rev 5:11-14; 22:1-5)
